Amundsen Station
Federation
Buckingham-class station, designated Starbase 267.
Amundsen is the operations center for Starfleet's Eighth Fleet,
located primarily at the southern edge of the Federation on the
border of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Situated in the
Gamma Tauri Sector, the station has served as the launching
point for many starships conducting operations in the area.
As part of Starfleet Command's initiative in 2379 to revitalize
the fleet, Amundsen Station is quickly becoming the port of call
for many newly-assigned ships, as well as border patrol vessels
in the region.The
starships Pavonis left Amundsen Station in September of
2379 following a transfer of crew and supplies.

Bridge - U.S.S.
Pavonis NCC-71989
Primary command and control facility aboard
Galaxy-class starships. The bridge of the Pavonis
is of a more recent design, utilizing side stations located on
the port and starboard sides that allow for additional personnel
to work. |

Corridors -
U.S.S. Pavonis NCC-71989
An interconnecting system of walkways
throughout the habitable volume of the ship, corridors are the
primary means of transportation, along with the turbolift
network and Jefferies tubes. |

Deep Space Seven
Federation deep space
station located in orbit of planet Gahndari Prime.
Constructed in 2354, DS7 has been a stepping stone for Starfleet
operations in the Pleiades Cluster. It has a standing crew
of approximately 300 and contains a large subspace array that
links it, and the planet below, to the Federation communications
network. DS7 is classified as a Regula Series IV space
station with a modest amount of runabouts and shuttlecraft to
aide in colonial operations, in addition to its role as a deep
space station.
In mid-2379, contact was lost
for unknown reasons, prompting investigation by the U.S.S.
Pavonis NCC-71989. Upon arrival, DS7 was found to be
adrift in space, it's orbit slowly decaying before being
corrected by the Pavonis. Sensor logs show a
hostile ship that entered the system and presumably killed or
captured the station's crew, as well as some inhabitants of the
colony below. DS7 is currently being used as a base of
operations in holding the Gahndari Quarantine.

Gahndari Prime
First planet in the
Gahndari System and home to the Federation's New Chicago colony.
Colonized in 2349, Gahndari Prime has continued to prosper
despite its location outside the heart of the Federation.
Having already been established for decades, several settlements
and mining facilites have had the chance to develop throughout
the northern continent. The Class-M environment is similar
to planets such as Earth and Betazed, though somewhat drier by
most standards. The planetary mass makes the gravity
slightly heavier, approximately 1.1 Earth standard.
In mid-2379 a viral outbreak
was reported just after communications were lost with both the
colony and station. Investigation by the U.S.S. Pavonis
NCC-71989 found that an unknown hostile force was responsible
for removing a section of the New Chicago colony on the surface,
as well as the abduction of many young children on the planet.
Gahndari Prime is currently
being held under quarantine due to the viral outbreak.

Gahndari System
Planetary system located
in the Pleiades Cluster on the
southern edge of the Orion Arm. Consists of one spectral
class-G star with five planets in orbit, the first of which is a
habitable Class-M world colonized by Federation citizens in
2349. This system is also home to the Starfleet station
Deep Space Seven. |

New Chicago
Federation colony located on the first planet
in the Gahndari System. Founded in 2349, New Chicago has
prospered despite its location outside the heart of the
Federation. By the 2370's, the colony had roughly 12,000
of the 25,000 colonists on the planet. The colony serves
as the capital city on the planet, and is home to the
Starfleet-administrated command center and colony hub. |

Pleiades Cluster
Region of space, also known as M45 or the
Seven Sisters, in which many young stars are located.
The Pleiades are a cluster of about 400 stars in a 25-light-year
radius, some 415 light-years from Earth. One of the
planets in the area is Velara III, site of a failed terraforming
project. A Federation colony is located in the Gahndari
System, which is on the edge of the cluster. The U.S.S.
Enterprise-D conducted a mapping mission in the Pleiades
Cluster in 2356.

Serenity
Attached
as the Captain's Yacht for the U.S.S. Pavonis, the Serenity
is a prototype for one of several new designs submitted by the
Advanced Starship Design Bureau for a warp-capable integrated
craft for the Galaxy- and Nebula-class starships. Completely redesigned from the bottom up,
Serenity's fold down warp nacelles make it similar to that
of the more recent Sovereign-class Captain's Yacht, while
technological breakthroughs over the past two decades has called
for a major reworking of internal spaces to make the yacht a
more able craft. |
