Steve is a student at Full Sail Real World Education where he is pursuing a degree in Computer Game Design, having already completed a degree in History from Texas Tech University. Long following Treknology as more a curiosity rather than a fervor, I first tackled the ACTD Tech Specs when I was given the ship listings for the 5th Fleet. Long feeling the specifications in ACTD were incomplete, and volunteering more than once to update, revamp and expand on the current specifications, I was turned down until the resignation of Cher and Kris and James' reinstatement as Game Manager. I felt that the old specs were leaving far too much open for interpretation, so I first conceived more in-depth technical specifications for each of the 5th Fleet Starships based on an old Trek RPG developed by current 5th Fleet Manger Mark Tucker, which became the jumping point for all of these specifications. My contributions to this project, other than getting approval for it and starting the whole ball rolling, are making sure that the various strong personalities stay on task, focused, and to make sure they look through their own creations with the same perspective that they tackle others.

Robert is currently a student attending the University of Texas at Austin, studying for a degree in Radio-Television-Film with emphasis in screenwriting. Being a Star Trek fan practically his entire life, Robert has an extensive library of canon technical manuals and resources, which he puts to good use when creating his specs. In addition to being the team's webmaster, he was also responsible with modeling the general look and format of the specs, using the TNG and DS9 Technical Manuals as a template. In ACTD, Robert has held a variety of positions, and is currently the Captain and Ship Manager of the PBeM Division's only Galaxy-class ship, the U.S.S. Pavonis. Outside ACTD, he often frequents game servers in both the First Person Shooter, Real-Time Strategy and the Star Trek genres, and enjoys playing PlanetSide, America's Army, Battlefield 1942 and Command & Conquer: Generals.

Robert is a Registered Nurse working in the local Trauma Center. Seeing as how he is also a Texas A&M alumni, it is amazing that he can work with the other Robert so well, but so far so good :) (No need to mention that little Red Raider chap up top :) A long time ST fan, he jumped at the chance to work on the Spec Team, so that he could finally fill in all the little details that he loves so much. While not as techno-sauvy as some of the other, he feels that he brings a real world, 'reality' to his specs.

He has also created some land vehicles for the planet-side base, Abertura Station (even before seeing Nemesis), and is working on including the Argo dune buggy into Abertura as well.

"My approach to understanding Treknology has always been to ground it in something in our modern era that it relates to. The reality of Science Fiction is that it is nearly impossible to think of technology that is not merely a more advanced version of things that already exist. By the 24th century, technology will be almost nothing like we imagined, just as our technology is almost nothing like those in the 1940s imagined. So I guess; and I work with a solid ground in engineering and scientific principles and I extrapolate under the guidance of Trek itself to garner what I need to know."

Note: Kurt is no longer a member of the ASDB Team.
