ASDB OFFLINE

For a number of years, the Advanced Starship Design Bureau has had the privilege of being one of the premier sources for technical information about technology and starships in the Star Trek universe. Used primarily by Star Trek: A Call to Duty and countless other role-playing games either through permission or outright plagiarism, the ASDB's work was a labor of love and critically acclaimed by many, including Star Trek author David Schmidt:

"I don't know if you've heard of me, but I created the Starfleet Dynamics & Starfleet Prototype, as well as the USS. Enterprise NCC-1701-A Deck Plans. It was some time ago...

I wanted to tell you how delighted I was with your site (my business partner referred me). I would call it a great achievement - except that it is obviously (I hope) a work in progress, with more ships and data forthcoming. And I'll save the superlative praise for its completion."

No longer aligned with ACTD due to game-wide changes in policy decisions, much of the team has gone inactive to pursue other endeavors. Steve Mallory, Project Lead for the ASDB, continues to work on technical specifications alongside new team members with input from authors in the original project.

This site is intended to preserve the work of the ASDB prior to their departure from ACTD. The specifications present here are the property of their respective authors, and should be referenced as such. Though ACTD maintains the original ASDB website under a new Project Leader, that site is in no way allied with the original ASDB Team.

Feel free to explore our tome of collective work and make use of it in your Star Trek-themed adventures. To the original team, may they continue to prosper, boldly going wherever their hearts have taken them.
